Yao Ming got a message from Mengke Bateer, China’s first home player to compete in the NBA. Bateer asked Houston Rockets player was rested and did not hurry to comeback.
Found injured Yao Ming last season forced him to undergo surgery. It is estimated that the recovery process will make Yao Ming missed the season.
Last month the Rockets through the general manager Daryl Morey said that Yao Ming could play this season after showing good progress in the recovery period.
But expect good Bateer Rockets or Yao Ming in no hurry to decide to comeback.
“Yao Ming has a more compact schedule compared to other NBA players when the season was off. It’s better for him to break through next season,” said Bateer told Oriental Sports Daily quoted by AFP.
Last season, Yao Ming appeared in 77 NBA action, or the most in the last four seasons. In mid 2008, the player with a 2.29-meter tall strengthen his country at the Beijing Olympics.
“Be patient and do not hurry, Yao Ming. Nothing is more important than your health, because it is a benchmark to start everything,” said Bateer.
“I do not want to see Yao appeared on the field until conditions are really ready,” added basketball player who played for the Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs and the Toronto Raptors.
