ESPY Awards 2010:Kobe Bryant Gets Nominated for Two ESPY Awards

On Wednesday July 14 at 9 pm EST, the 2010 ESPY Awards will begin and some of the Lakers will be in attendance. Not only was the whole team nominated for the Best Team of 2010, but Kobe Bryant (two nominations) and Phil Jackson has been nominated for several awards.

Best Female Athlete nominees are Maya Moore, Diana Taurasi, Lindsey Vonn and Serena Williams. Williams just won Wimbledon and is ranked No. 1 in the world in tennis. Vonn became the first American woman to win the decline in the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

2009-2010 NBA season is officially in the books and the Lakers were able to come out with their second consecutive NBA title as a result, but Kobe Bryant, Phil Jackson and the Lakers could do to get the recognize another great season.

Other nominees include Shaun White, who won gold in Vancouver snowboard, the swimmer Michael Phelps, Roger Federer, the Canadian figure skating Joanie Rochette, Brett Favre and Peyton Manning.
The blind side is nominated for Best Sports Movie. Isner vs Mahut is nominated for Best Performance Record longest professional tennis match in history.

The Arkansas Razorbacks rival the SEC, Alabama Crimson Tide, are nominated for Best Team.

    You are the best of the best, not only do you have some of the best basketball skills in NBA history, you have become such an awesome team leader and coach for your teammates.
